We are a family of four with 2 children and only one pair of boxers - we are not a puppy mill or frequent breeder. We live in Broomfield, Colorado, and our dogs are family. We are a hobby breeder & do not own an outdoor kennel - when we have pups they live it up in a huge double exercise pen which takes over our kitchen. Daisy and Murphy rough-house with our kids and sleep on our bed (and anything else which is soft and not moving).

"Red Maximus Boxers" sounds snooty but we're definitely not - it comes from the registered name we chose for our irreplaceable sire, Murphy (McMurtry's Red Maximus), and we feel he exemplifies the most beloved traits of the breed.

We will not adopt our pups to homes where they will live out their days in sweltering/freezing kennels or on chains/tie-outs. Please contact us to discuss how to care properly for your new addition and, if you are ready to make a Boxer a new member of  your family, to visit.  Be prepared for us to have lots of questions about your home, age of children, other pets, etc. The answers help us suggest the best pup for your lifestyle. If you contact a breeder and they have no questions other than what form of payment you are making, you should definitely be concerned.

We will not ship - the health of your pup could be compromised traveling in a crate in a cold aircraft hold - but we will consider reimbursed travel small distances to deliver. We would prefer our new owners have spent time with our entire litter in person so that we may help you determine which pup would fit best with your lifestyle and family.

Please visit our Boxer FAQ's page for helpful breed information and what to expect from the best breed in dogdom.

Thank you,

The McMurtrys
